Is the first meeting chargeable?

No. At the first meeting we listen, assess your position and give an estimate of the cost. It takes 30 to 40 minutes and carries no obligation.

How long does a court case take?

A commercial dispute at first instance usually runs four to eight months. An appeal adds another three to five. The exact period depends on complexity and how ready the evidence is.

Will you tell me if I am likely to lose?

Yes, plainly. We do not take on cases we expect to lose — it serves neither side. In those situations we suggest negotiation or settlement instead.

Will my information stay confidential?

Yes. Legal privilege is protected by law. We do not publish our client list, and the testimonials here use initials only.

What does legal work cost?

Three ways to pay: hourly at 150, a fixed fee per matter, or a monthly retainer from 400. A fixed fee suits a one-off contract; a retainer suits ongoing work. We work out which at the first meeting.
